well yesterday couldnt have gone anymore wrong if i tried, i got the urge to get my downhill bike out of the depth's of my bikeroom, i have far too nice a downhill bike for the use it gets, but i do enjoy downhilling its too much fun, i loaded up the car and went over to my local downhill track, took my dog too he had way more fun than me, managed to do 2 runs and got a flat, so back to the car, no spare tube, no!! luckily i had left my camel back in the car from previous days xc ride and there was a xc tube in there, yes, riding back on, went to take the rear axle out of my frame, would it come out?? no, i managed to get the wrong end of the allen key into the hub to tap it out which after a while it did, fit innertube just about as the valve only just fit, went to put the rear axle back in, cause i tapped it out it kinda mashed the end up so it wouldnt fit back in the frame, abit of gentle persuasion (big hammer)got it back in tightened it all back up and off to do a run, unfortunatly the rear axle wasnt in properly so the brake was rubbing, nightmare so that was the end of riding and pretty much a waste of the day, oh well at least my dog got a good run out, ridng today not a chance its chucking it down, im trying to desperatly not to think out the games console and get motivated to do some jobe round the house.
