ok must remeber to copy this one, ha
racings a funny business, one day you feel great on your bike and do crap the next you ride crap and suprise yourself, well manchester bmx national was certainly one of thoose days, not riding my bmx for 3 weeks before is not ideal, first lap first jump big rimmer, mint, my bike felt awful, it was like someone had changed my cranks to 190mm and a 52 chainring, motos went ok, semi's i managed to win cruiser and rode my luck in masters after a crash in the 2nd turn, main time, cruiser was messy, bunched up in first turn i was in top 4, some shady lines by other riders saw me run alan hill off the track, sorry alan, rode in for 4th place, masters, oh boy masters is stacked, so who didnt make the main, flemdog, dylan clayton, mark barnard, the main was tough, after a naff gate from gate 7 saw me get squeezed big time and straight out the back of pack, i managed to get back on the tail end looking to make some moves when again i rode my luck after a crash on the third straight, found myself in 5th heading to the last turn on the inside of sean andrews, i was carrying a lot more speed than sean and almost put him over the berm, was not realy wanted to di but didnt have any where else to go, held on the finish for 4th again, so yes it was one of thoose days, i was expecting to be out in the motos but things worked out and ended up doing pretty good, did i miss 4x national round 3? sure i missed round 2 as well, anyways i won them both so 4x is going ok.
im pretty down in the dumps right now to put it politely, four places i could have been this weekend, NASS was one option, someone offered me some work but i turned it down cause it was a pretty rubbish offer, T in the park, huge festival where ive worked last few years, was tempting, i did want to mega avalanche had it all sorted then last minute went belly up, typical, biggest problem i had was getting there, to drive would have cost wedge, i could have flown but would have to get busses etc, didnt realy fancy that, huge let down there, irony of that is sue hart sent me a message asking when i was going and could i take some bits out for danny hart, i told her about the travel mess up and she replied you could have gone out with danny as they had a spare seat, mint just wanted to hear, so the plan was to go to bike radar, i didnt invisage been laid up on the sofa with my knee elavated swopping ice packs, great stuff and pretty shit really, i managed to twist my knee walking down the steps it went in the wrong direction and gave way, absalutly rubbish.
apart from pissed off been injured, things have been up and down for me, you know you go through life and things run ok for a while then WHAM!! something happens and you just think, oh great thanks, things have been tough lately, you know when you organinse stuff then it goes belly up and it feels like your banging your head against a wall, thats kind of how things have been just lately, kind of funny cause the start of the week all of my planning ive been doing as fallen into place, well now thats out of the window, hello again wall, and its not like i can cheer myself up by going for a ride, got a mission to do this weekend clearing out my loft cause its getting re-insulated monday, if youve seen my loft you'd understand, at my house i dont have a garage which would be nice, im not getting a shed to easy to break into, so my house has 3 bedrooms, 1 for me and the missus, jordans room and a bike room, seriously its full of bikes, kit and spare rooms, it is actually pretty cool, so everything goes in the loft, its packed, i dont know how the hell im going to manage that one i cant even walk properly.
had an intrested ride a few weeks ago, finaly got my sorry backside to dalby forest to ride some xc, my mate txt me said he was going so i jumped at the chance of going cause ive not been there, the txt did say dalby, xc and leiseurely, the pace was leisurely up the first climb and the first part of the descent then the path in front was slightly downhill and i could see the path way stretch out in front of me for what looked like miles, ok so maybe not miles but along way, i couldnt help myself i had to hit it flat out after that it was pretty much flat out for the rest of the ride, a good ride out for sure, anyways my pack of peas is melting so i need to stick em freezer, oh joy. what a fantastic weekend im going to have
